Lindsay Lohan ‘in shock’ when asked to remove headscarf at Heathrow
Actress Lindsay Lohan claimed today that she was racially profiled when she travelled through Heathrow wearing a headscarf.
Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Lohan explained she was wearing the headscarf after a trip to Turkey, where she visited Syrian refugees as part of her humanitarian work.
She was travelling through Heathrow on her way back to New York when a member of the security staff asked her to remove it.
The American actress, who recently hit the headlines when she urged other Americans to back new President Donald Trump, said: "I was in shock. It was jarring."
She added: "What scared me at that moment was, how would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel…that was really interesting to me."
Heathrow has been asked for a comment.
