Live like Eloise at The Plaza Hotel

Monday, 16 Jun, 2009 0

Timeless, captivating and unforgettable, The Plaza Hotel has undergone a $400 million, three-year, lobby to roof renovation and restoration. The passion and uncompromising service which made the hotel a legend has returned with a new and contemporary spirit.

The Plaza is an extraordinary hotel and a luxury lifestyle destination that offers guests every indulgence featuring a world-class retail collection with a Caudalie Vinotherapie(R) Spa, Warren-Tricomi Salon and Fitness Center by Radu Physical Culture. The Oak Room and Oak Bar provide quintessential New York experiences, and the opulent Plaza Grand Ballroom continues to host the world’s most memorable events. New additions include the elegant Champagne Bar and stylish Rose Club. Designated a New York City Landmark in 1969 it is also the only New York City hotel to be designated as a National Historic Landmark..

It seems fitting that The Plaza Hotel has created two new wonderful packages to celebrate the hotel and the famous ELOISE."

This summer, The Plaza welcomes back its most famous and mischievous guest, Kay Thompson’s fictional character, Eloise, with two special offers: the ‘Live Like Eloise’ and ‘Live Like Eloise Slumber Party’ packages. And since everyone "absolutely looooves" Eloise, later this year The Plaza will also introduce an Eloise interactive store and themed suite.

The energetic and precocious six-year old originally "moved into" The Plaza in 1955 with pet pug Weenie, turtle Skipperdee and her "mostly companion," Nanny, when the first edition of Eloise was published by Simon & Schuster. Since that time, Eloise has "skibbled" her way into the hearts and imagination of children and adults for more than 50 years. Today, Eloise still watches over The Plaza from her portrait which is prominently displayed in the legendary hotel near the new Fifth Avenue entrance.

The Live Like Eloise Package  includes

Luxurious overnight accommodations in a Deluxe Rose Suite
Complimentary upgrade to the next available suite category at time of booking
A copy of Kay Thompson’s Eloise
A Super Duper Sundae from In-Room Dining
Eloise postcards with complimentary postage

This iffer is avaiable year-round and based on availability and exclusive of tax and gratuity. Rates from $3,595 USD/night.
