Lizard Island voted Number One

Sunday, 01 Jun, 2007 0

Voyages Lizard Island has been voted the number one hotel in Australia, South Pacific and New Zealand for service by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine in the US.

The annual World’s Best Service awards were published in the magazine’s June issue and are the result of a survey of more than 900,000 subscribers. Voyages Lizard Island received a rating of 92.11, beating all others in the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific region.

According to Voyages’ Executive GM Sales and Marketing Nick Baker, one of the things that make this prestigious accolade so special is that it came from the magazine’s readers, people who had actually stayed at the resort.

“Sophisticated, passionate and discerning travellers know only too well that service is what takes their experience from good to great,” Baker said. “Lizard Island is a superb property and situated in an equally superb location, but it is our service which sets us apart.”

The World’s Best Service rankings are based on reader evaluations collected in the 2006 World’s Best Awards: where Lizard Island was voted number one.
