Long-haul agent fails
Long-haul travel agent Miles Travel has failed due to lack of business.
Managing director Richard Loosley blamed the economic downturn on his decision to close the agency in Cranbrook, Kent.
The agency, which had two other staff, had been operating since 1968.
Miles Travel was an ABTA member until the end of last month and also an AITO Specialist Travel Agent.
It specialised in travel to Canada and North America, the Middle East, India, Australasia, Far East and China.
Any retail claims arising from the failure will be handled by CEGA, ABTA’s claims handling partner on tel 01243 621500.
