Long-haul first for Stansted
Thomas Cook Airlines will operate flights from London Stansted to Orlando, Cancun and Las Vegas for summer 2015.
The additional flights will begin on 17 July, with two flights a week to Orlando and one per week to both Cancun and Las Vegas, and will run until August 17.
Larger Airbus A330s will be used for the flights, which will be the only long-haul routes operating from Stansted.
"This is yet another vote of confidence by Thomas Cook Airlines, who are already expanding this summer with eight new routes using larger aircraft," said Stansted Airport’s MD Andrew Harrison.
Return fares to Las Vegas start from £749, Cancun from £759, and Orlando from £899.
