Love Island boosts easyJet Holidays’ bookings

EasyJet Holidays has seen bookings to Majorca increase 20% following the airing of Love Island, ITV2’s biggest ever show.

The operator said bookings were up by a fifth compared with the period before the hit TV show was aired.

It said searches for Majorca on its website were also up 18%.

General manager Mandy Round said: "After a long summer of Love Island fever we’ve seen a significant rise in bookings from those who want to get a slice of the love islander experience.

"Whilst we have lots of customers who are already loyal to this lively destination, the trends we can see show that a rise in travellers to Majorca can be attributed to the popularity of the show, from those wishing to follow in the footsteps of winners Dani, Jack and co."
