Lowcostbeds planning further growth in Asia Pacific
Switzerland-based trade bed bank Lowcostbeds says it has seen 80% growth in international business in the last 12 months to October 2014.
The company celebrates 10 years in business this year and announced that over 65% of its 2 million sales now originate from outside the UK.
Lowcostbeds, part of the Lowcosttravelgroup, is now live in 47 countries, with a customer base from across Europe, LATAM, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Speaking at ITB Asia, Alford, MD Asia Pacific, said Lowcostbeds will look to further penetrate the Asia market by expanding inventory, management and distribution.
"’We are tremendously encouraged by the early signs and gradually refining a leading position with future plans for growth across all Asia Pacific markets." Alford said.
"Our unique approach, coupled with our clear and concise service has been extremely well received by our different travel partners throughout the region for our first financial year. "We now have a team of local buyers in Thailand with plans to hire market managers specific to Asia. Our aim is to have 10,000 unique hotels by the end of this year in South East Asia."
