Lowe Howe Island golf special
Somerset Apartments on Lord Howe Island have released a winter special for golfers.
Extra nights free are offered with rates starting at A$170 per night for a one-bedroom apartment.
Originating from a market garden in 1979, the challenging 9-hole, par 31 Lord Howe Island Golf Course runs alongside the Pacific Ocean in places.
In 1982, The Lord Howe Island Group was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage property.
The Island Group World Heritage Property includes the main island, offshore islets and Balls Pyramid, totalling about 1455 hectares of land.
A further 145,000 hectares of marine environment are included in the World Heritage Area.
The Somerset Apartments Winter Special is valid for travel until September 13.
