Lufthansa agrees pay deal with ground staff
Lufthansa has agreed a pay deal with ground staff days before a crunch meeting with cabin crew this week.
The union agreed to not stage any further strikes until December 2, when an employment summit will take place.
The German airline has since struck a deal with 30,000 ground staff giving a one-off payment of €2,250 (£1,580) and a 2.2% pay rise.
It includes airport staff as well as catering, IT, freight and maintenance workers, reports the BBC.
Lufthansa has been plagued by flight disruption and strikes due to pay and pension disputes with staff as it looks to cut costs to compete with budget airlines and Gulf carriers.
550,000 passengers were disrupted earlier this month when Lufthansa crew staged a week-long strike.
