Lufthansa plans to operate 2,184 of 3,000 scheduled flights today when its pilots walk out for two days as a result of a long-running dispute over pay.

The airline said all its long-haul services will operate as scheduled.

On Wednesday, Lufthansa will operate 2,110 of 3,000 scheduled flights.

Passengers can check if their flight is operating on LH.com.

The airline said the latest two-day strike will affect all short-haul services from Germany today and short-, medium- and long-haul services from Germany tomorrow.

In total, 816 flighs will be cancelled today, hitting 82,000 passengers, while on Wednesday there will be 890 cancellations affecting around 98,000 travellers.

Lufthansa said more than half a million passengers had been affected by its pilot strikes since last Wednesday.

Group airlines Eurowings, Germanwings, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Brussels Airlines are not affected by the ongoing industrial action.
