Passengers flying in and out of Paris’s Charles de Gaulle airport with Lufthansa suffered delays and cancellations yesterday after check-in staff went on strike.
The walk-out meant the airline had to cancel 60 flights. It cancelled 26 from the French airport on Monday.
A spokesman for the airline said management were in “constructive dialogue” with staff unions but counselled that flights may well be cancelled out of Paris for some days to come.
Meanwhile Lufthansa’s 15,000 cabin crew have until today at 5pm to consider a wage deal proposed by management. Crew unions have been warring with management, which wants to freeze incomes in return for job security.
