Lufthansa in full content deal with Worldspan
Lufthansa has forged a full content distribution agreement with Worldspan.
Worldspan users will have real-time access to the German carrier’s flight schedules and availability for its publicly available fares.
The airline’s senior vice president for sales Germany and global key accounts Josef Bogdanski said: “With this agreement, Lufthansa and Worldspan have set the stage for a broader relationship that will allow both parties to grow their respective businesses.
“Not only does our agreement establish a basis for Lufthansa to take advantage of Worldspan’s distribution reach while lowering our costs, but Worldspan has provided technology tools to help lower our overall IT expenditure.”
The GDS’s airline distribution and business development vice-president Kevin Ficco said: “Our full content agreement with Lufthansa underscores Worldspan’s commitment to remain a leading and cost-efficient source of distribution for the world’s airlines, and to ensure our customers have comprehensive content from the world’s leading travel suppliers.”
