Luton sees surge in passengers ahead of redevelopment
Luton Airport has seen an 18.6% increase in passenger numbers for March compared to the same time last year.
The airport reported 840,820 passengers choosing to use the airport during March 2015.
The growth comes ahead of a £100 million redevelopment and investment programme which it hopes will increase annual capacity from 12 million to 18 million by 2026.
It will also see better transport links, shopping and food options and a new executive lounge.
Nick Barton, CEO of LLA, said: "Growth is being driven by the Airport’s great range of destinations, as well as our excellent transport links and easy access from London and the surrounding regions."
