Luxury Fiji resort comes storming back
Fiji’s luxury couples-only Likuliku Lagoon Resort has reopened following extensive refurbishment and repairs in the wake of Cyclone Evan’s big blow last December.
The cyclone was the fiercest to strike the archipelago in nearly 20 years and carved a path of destruction through the outlying Yasawa and Mamanuca resort islands, where gusts were reported at up to 270kmh near the eye.
Group general manager Steve Anstey said: "It is hard to put into words what our re-opening means for us and there are so many people we wish to thank.
"From the builders who restored our beautiful resort and our exceptional staff who have worked tirelessly around the clock to bring it back to life, the travel industry for continuing to support us and, of course, to our past and future guests who have also recognised how special this unique resort is."
