A growing trend among many luxury hotel and resort properties: offering in-room menus to allow guests to decide the comforts and personal care they want. For example:
- The Viceroy Santa Monica in California has a luxury mini-bar in the bathroom where guests can pick and choose from upscale body care products.
- Langham Hotels in Boston and other areas offer a choice of pillows ranging from 75% duck feathers to 80% goose down.
- The White Barn Inn & Spa in Kennebunkport, Maine, has a new bath menu that includes a wide variety of offerings that include treatments rich in vitamins and minerals. All selections are $55.
