Macau cleans up with record gaming revenue
Macau’s gaming revenue hit a record US$23.5 in 2010, according to latest official figures, outpacing the Las Vegas Strip by about four-fold.
The revenue figures are a 57.8 percent increase over 2009.
Macau, a major attraction for mainland Chinese punters, is now comfortably the world’s biggest gaming hub.
The city also set a new monthly record in December, with gaming revenues more than about 66 percent higher than the same month in 2009.
