Mach moves to dynamic packaging
Mach Associates has released the latest version of its software that enables dynamic packaging – providing further confirmation that the phenomenon is more than just a “buzz word”. Mach Associates produces the MARS reservations software for tour operators and online agents. The latest is version 3.0, which has added functionality including dynamic packaging. This will enable users in call centre and external websites to package products like car hire, hotel and flight bookings. In a statement the company said: “The new release brings many major advances in functionality and introduces technology with which users can compete with online travel organisations to whom they have lost market share in recent years.” Dynamic packaging is increasingly being recognised as the most significant growing trend in the online and offline travel industry. At last week’s TravelMole Fast Conference, panel member Martin Tyler-Bennett, Worldspan director EMEAA, airline distribution hosting and IT solutions, said: “Dynamic packaging is the way forward.” The TravelMole Fast Conference was sponsored by Billian IT Solutions and Cornerstone Information Systems who were the gold and silver sponsors. The next TravelMole Fast Conference is on May 11.
