Maldives posts new tourist arrivals record
The Maldives has posted a new tourist arrival record.
The Tourism Ministry said the record set last year was surpassed on December 10 at 2,080,134 tourists.
Last year’s record was the first time the island nation welcomed more than two million foreign visitors.
The government’s revised target for the full year is 2.2 million.
The Maldives’ top source market is China, followed by Russia and the UK.
