Man and daughter released from hotel quarantine due to loophole

Two of the first passengers to be placed in a quarantine hotel after arriving in the UK yesterday were told they could leave after a matter of hours. Even though the man and his daughter had arrived from the US, a loophole in the new rules means that they’re allowed to self-isolate at home rather than in a hotel.
