Mandy Round moves to HKTB
Luton Airport’s Mandy Round is joining the Hong Kong Tourism Board as director – Northern Europe.
Well knwon the the trade, Ms Round has been head of sales and marketing at Luton Airport since 1998. Previously she was with Eurotunnel, Lunn Poly, Stakis Hotels and Hogg Robinson.
In her new role she will be responsible for the UK and Irish markets as well as the Nordic region and Middle East reporting to HKTB regional director Kevin Welch. She starts on 23 August.
“The UK market has rebounded strongly from the effects of SARS last year and we are once again showing good growth in visitors,” he said. “Mandy’s job will be to build on this revival and to ensure that Hong Kong and its travel trade partners capitalise fully on the popularity of the destination.”
