Mango, Spain Tourism in joint promotion
Spain Tourism Institute (Turespaña) and Spanish retail fashion outlet Mango have teamed up for a joint promotion campaign in Asia.
The campaign slogan “Mango: 100% Spain Inspired†will encourage consumers to recognize Mango as a Spanish brand and to promote Spain as a tourist destination.
This promotion will run throughout November in selected Mango stores in Singapore (in Isetan Scotts Road and Takashimaya), Beijing, Shanghai, Delhi and Manila.
Activities within the stores includes the distribution of a limited edition Mango-I Need Spain t-shirt and a special booklet on Spain with every $80 worth of Mango merchandise purchased.
Every customer in Mango will also stand a chance to win a 7-day trip to Barcelona with €200 worth of Mango vouchers.
Ten second-prize winners will receive Mango vouchers worth S$200.
This marks the first time Mango and Turespaña have worked together on a promotion.
Enrique Ruiz de Lera, marketing director at Turespaña, said the alliance matches perfectly with Spain’s positioning strategy in the Asian market and that both brands have their distinctive global characters but still share the Spanish lifestyle as a main attribute.
