Marriott adds 2 properties in Puerto Rico

Monday, 25 Aug, 2005 0

Marriott International is developing two properties in Puerto Rico.

San Juan’s historic 248-room La Concha Hotel, which closed in 1990, will reopen as part of the Renaissance brand next year.

It will have 10,200 square feet of meeting space.

The 130-room Courtyard by Marriott Miramar will also open this year, following a renovation of the former Excelsior Hotel.

“Future resorts for Marriott’s Caribbean portfolio will likely be on boutique islands,” reported M&C Midweek News, quoting a company executive.
