Marriott rolls out wholesaler online booking portal

Saturday, 18 Oct, 2016 0
Marriott International has rolled a new distribution and booking solution for its wholesale trade partners.

Marriott Wholesaler offers a fully automated online booking solution for travel wholesalers, DMCs and tour operators with real-time rates and inventory for a portfolio of more than 4,200 Marriott hotels.

It has tapped Sabre Hospitality Solutions to develop the new platform.

"Marriott works with more than 3,000 wholesalers and we have been eager to modernize our process for collaborating with the wholesale and leisure segment. MarriottWholesalers.com provides our partners with dynamic access to a broader selection of hotel products at the best prices," said Drew Pinto, Senior Vice President, Distribution, Marriott International.

"Selecting Sabre as our technology provider brought the speed to market, experience, and capability that we needed to bring this solution to fruition."

The solution will significantly speed up current ‘antiquated’ processes of  contracting, accessing inventory and booking hotel rooms, Marriott says.

It will also aid smaller wholesalers to gain dynamic access to rates and inventory without investment in additional tech.

Marriott said The STARnet wholesaler program for Starwood Hotels & Resorts will continue to operate as a separate system.
