M&C unveils no-name brand
SINGAPORE – The Millenium and Copthorne group is launching a new boutique brand for 21 to 40-year-old travellers – but when it announced the development at ITB Asia last week, the hotel group had yet to settle on a name for the new brand.
The S$100 million hotel, opening in September next year, will be on Mohamed Sultan Road, close to the Singapore River.
Stephanie Lee, M&C’s director of brand development, said the 368-room hotel would feature loft-style room and rates would be pitched around S$160-S$240 per night.
Lee said the target market would be young, tech-savvy and independent business travelers.
A key feature of the property will be an outdoor deck “where guests can interact over a glass of wine in a casual environmentâ€.
