MCB offers support to local hosts
Melbourne Convention Bureau has launched a new guide to help and encourage local hosts to partner with MCB to bid for international association conferences.
A guide, Melbourne IQ: the Intelligent Choice for Conferences – A Guide to Bidding for International Conferences highlights the benefits and processes involved in bidding for an international conference.
It will be supported by a year-round calendar of events and workshops run by MCB, as well as sponsorship and advertising.
Karen Bolinger, chief executive of MCB, said bidding for an international conference started at home when looking for a local host to partner with a bid for an event.
She said the guide was designed to present local hosts with a concise overview of how the bidding process works and how they can get involved.
