Merged US-America West offering new packages

As part of their recent merger, America West Vacations and US Airways are offering some new vacation products.

“Whatever your taste, US Airways Vacations will continue to offer customers a complete travel experience, including airfare, hotels, car rentals, entertainment and adventures  — to suit every vacation style,” said Scott Kirby, executive vice president, sales and marketing.

He said US Airways Vacations is one of the largest vacation package companies in the country, with packages available to the Caribbean, Florida, Costa Rica and many other destinations.

The merger of the two companies has led to a new Low-Fare Finder fare-search grid, which makes “US Airways the only airline to allow customers to easily search within a range of several days for the lowest-priced package,” according to the company.

The merger created the fifth largest domestic airline employing 35,000 people.
