PlanSoft Corporation and seeUthere Technologies have merged to create OnVantage Inc.

Both growing companies have established track records of success, said David Hunt, chairman and ceo of PlanSoft.

“OnVantage represents a synergistic merger of equals,” said Mr Hunt, who will continue as chairman of OnVantage.

“Buyers will gain greater access to information about meting suppliers, and meeting suppliers will reach quality corporate clients,” said John Chang, ceo and president of seeUthere, who was named ceo of OnVantage.

The merger combines the broadest buyer and supplier groups in the meetings and events industry, according to company officials.

OnVantage consolidates the buying power of over 400 of the Fortune 500 companies and thousands of other corporations and associations, the company says.

Each buyer will have access to a network of over 40,000 hotel properties and 30,000 meeting suppliers in North America, Europe and Asia.

The company brings together an extensive vendor network and spend management solution for meetings and events, according to company officials. OnVantage promises to improve transaction efficiencies through better information and visibility for both buyers and suppliers.
