Migrants and protesters storm P&O ferry
Ferry services in Calais were disrupted over the weekend after migrants and protesters invaded the ferry port.
Incited by protesters, around 500 migrants broke through police lines with 50 thought to have boarded a P&O ferry on Saturday.
Protesters from the left-wing group No Borders were filmed during the trouble on Saturday afternoon as they tried to get people to the UK.
A Twitter post showed what was thought to be a group of migrants after they boarded P&O’s Spirit of Britain ferry.
Police confirmed they had arrested 24 migrants, and a further 11 people believed to be from No Borders, some of them British, reports the Telegraph.
P&O confirmed it was running at a delay of between 90 minutes and two hours after the incident.
