Milestone tops in Conde Nast Reader Choice
The Milestone won “Top Hotel in the British Isles” and was the only hotel in London in the “Top 100” at the 23rd annual Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards in New York City.
The hotel is a five-star property. It is part of Red Carnation, a luxury collection of thirteen five and fouf- star, family-run boutique hotels.
More than 26,000 readers voted in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice survey on more than 10,000 properties and destinations, ranking the best cities, islands, cruise lines, airlines, hotels, resorts, and car rental agencies worldwide.
The survey, originating in 1988, asks voters to rate hotels on a five-point scale, measuring food/dining, location, overall design, rooms and service.
In the British Isles category, Red Carnation’s flagship hotel in Kensington achieved an overall score of 95.8 out of 100, noting guests can expect "a top-notch luxury hotel with personalized service."
The Milestone, also top position winners of the Readers’ Choice awards in 2009 and 2007, was also ranked as the only hotel in London in the “Top 100” for hotels, a category for hotels who received ‘sky-high scores.’
The hotel has 56 individually designed rooms and suites, and six two-bedroom apartments. The Victorian structure also has 24-hour butler service, fine dining, a fitness center with a resistance pool and spa treatments.
The property is located in the heart of Kensington, overlooking Kensington Palace and Gardens. It is a member of The Leading Small Hotels of the World.
