Monarch boosts Canaries flights for winter
Monarch has boosted flights to the Canary Islands from Birmingham and London Luton in its 2008/2009 winter schedule, released this week.
It is offering 15% more seats from Birmingham and 10% more from London Luton to the islands, compared to last winter.
From Birmingham, its Lanzarote service will go to three flights per week and up to daily to Tenerife.
From Luton, Monarch will fly three flights per week to Lanzarote and up to seven flights a week to Tenerife.
Managing director Liz Savage said: “We’re once again ahead of our rivals by putting our entire winter programme on sale before the summer months begin, and with more flights to the destinations our passengers want, we’re giving them exactly what they want too.
“Demand for travel to the Canary Islands in particular has been huge for winter.
“Our core routes to destinations such as Alicante and Malaga remain strong and with up to seven flights a week to both airports, our passengers will benefit from having more choice about when and where they fly.â€
Schedules for Manchester and London Gatwick will be announced shortly.
