More convention options in Reno
The Reno/Lake Tahoe area has expanded its options for meeting-goers with its 110,000 square foot Event Center in heart of downtown Reno.
“From our large convention center — with 500,000 square feet of contiguous space — to this facility with its unique special event capabilities…Reno-Tahoe will now be able to offer planners a little of everything,” said Jeff Beckelman, president of the local CVB.
Other new developments:
- The 1,572-room Circus Circus Reno Hotel & Casino earlier this year opened a new business center that complements wireless internet capacity in the hotel lobby. It has 23,000 square feet of convention space.
- The 1,070-room Peppermill Hotel Casino renovated its lobby area and added an information kiosk; rooms are also being renovated.
- The Reno Hilton completed refurbishment of all of its 2,003 guest rooms.
