More than 80,000 a day due to fly over Easter
More than 80,000 passengers a day are booked to fly over the Easter Holidays claims British Airways.
The numbers will peak on Thursday with 86,000 going up in the air ahead of the Easter weekend.
Richard Tams, British Airways’ head of UK & Ireland sales, said: "Most of our flights are very busy as our key destinations are proving as popular as ever, especially to the US and top Continental hotspots."
The most popular longhaul destinations are in the US, with people jetting off to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
Other favourites include Dubai, Johannesburg and Delhi.
Favourite shorthaul European destination include Barcelona, Rome, Geneva, Berlin, Paris, Munich and Amsterdam.
