Mourners wear yellow at Cassie’s funeral
Family and friends of Cassie Hayes wore yellow, her favourite colour, at her funeral on Friday.
The travel agent was murdered in TUI’s Southport store just over two weeks ago.
Mourners watched as Cassie’s coffin was driven by, along with bright yellow floral tributes saying ‘MY BABY’ and ‘DUDE’, reported the Liverpool Echo.
The 28-year-old had her throat slit while at work in the Chapel Street shop.
Mourners were asked to donate money to the SAMM charity, which provides support to families bereaved by murder and manslaughter.
A~fund-raising campaign in Cassie’s memory, to help support her family, has already achieved its £7,000 target.
Andrew Burke, 30, of Vincent Street in St Helens, has been charged with murder.
