MP3 tour of London’s South Bank launched
MP3 walking tour specialist Tourist Tracks has released its ninth UK guide – a tour of London’s famous South Bank.
The tour, which takes the visitor from historic London Bridge to Westminster Bridge, encompasses attractions including Southwark Cathedral, Borough Market, The Golden Hinde, Shakespeare’s Globe and the Tate Modern.
Tourist Tracks can be downloaded from the company’s website at www.tourist-tracks.com, along with a printable map, and are then transferred to an iPod or other audio player. All the tours are also available on CD, for those who do not own MP3 players.
This is the third London tour from Tourist Tracks – the other two are City of London and City of Westminster – while the company has a fast-expanding range covering tourist destinations around the country including Cambridge, Oxford and Canterbury.
Founder and tours director Tim Gillett said: “We are delighted to have expanded our range of London products with this South Bank tour.
“This area of the capital, while perhaps not as well known as the City or Westminster, has a marvellous array of attractions for visitors and we think our South Bank product certainly does it justice.
“From London Bridge right through the London Eye we unlock hundreds of years of history while also showing visitors the most modern tourist attractions.”
Tourist Tracks will be launching several more UK tours in the coming months, and plans are afoot to translate the whole range into several languages.
