MSC Cruises partners with Brightline for rail-to-ship bag transfer
MSC Cruises has teamed up with Florida’s express train operator Brightline to seamlessly transport cruise passengers’ bags from train station to ship.
The partnership allows cruisers to park their vehicles at Brightline stations at West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale, check in their luggage there and it will be delivered directly to their stateroom by Brightline, which is soon to be branded to Virgin Trains USA.
On arrival at Miami, guests booking the service will get a Lyft ride to PortMiami.
Inclusive rates start at $95 per couple roundtrip.
"We are committed to partnering with world-class and innovative brands that will enhance our guests’ vacation experience from start to finish. MSC Cruises is now able to offer a more seamless and convenient pre- and post-cruise travel experience," said Ken Muskat, MSC Cruises USA’s COO.
Even though Virgin Voyages will launch next year from PortMiami, MSC Cruises is designated as the official cruise line of Brightline.
Brightline also offers other cruise specific packages including secure parking, train tickets and Lyft Rides, but not including baggage delivery.
MSC Cruises will offer sailings on four ships out of Miami, which are the MSC Seaside and MSC Armonia year-round and MSC Divina and MSC Meraviglia later this year on a seasonal basis.
