MSC Cruises to end separate daily service charge for new bookings

Tuesday, 24 Jun, 2019 0

MSC Cruises will include the daily onboard service charge in its fares for all new bookings from Tuesday.

The cruise line announced its intention to roll gratuities into the fare for all UK and Irish passengers earlier this year, but it delayed the planned launch date from early April as it worked on its implementation strategy.

"As of tomorrow, 25 June 2019, MSC Cruises will include the daily service charge as part of the cruise fare," the cruiseline announced in a statement on Monday.

"The change will affect bookings made from this date and any bookings made after this date will be subject to the new terms and conditions regarding service charge.

"Any bookings made before this date, regardless of departure date will be subject to the existing booking terms that state service charge will be included as part of the onboard invoice, however it is optional and can be removed on board at the request of the guests."
