MSC signs for Dover cruise convention ahead of UK departures
MSC Cruises has signed up to Dover’s two-day Cruise Convention in advance of the line sailing from the UK for the first time this summer.
UK & Ireland managing director Claudia Baino will be attending the event on May 17-18 with marketing manager Emma Cashmore, business development manager for the South of England Stephen Moffett and for London & East Anglia David Freer.
Baino said: “We are working very closely with retailers to expand MSC Cruises distribution channels and increase sales in the UK.
“This summer MSC Rhapsody will be sailing from Dover for the first time, offering two itineraries to the Baltic Capitals and Norwegian Fjords, and will be followed next year by 2,087-berth MSC Armonia.
“The UK is a key market for MSC Cruises and we are looking at developing a long term relationship with the Port of Dover Authorities and, of course, the UK trade – the Cruise Convention providing a perfect platform for us to do so.”
A total of five departures from Dover on board MSC Rhapsody are being offered in July and August.
The 11-night summer cruises to the Norwegian Fjords or the Baltic Capitals start at £799 per person including free car parking at Dover or free return coach transfers from selected points to Dover via London.
