Mumbai water taxi service launches
Mumbai’s long-awaited water taxi service has been inaugurated. It is a first of its kind in India and connects the east coast of Mumbai to the Navi Mumbai mainland and other districts.
As well as an important commuter service, it is also expected to boost to tourism by increasing connectivity to spots such as Elephanta Island and Kanhoji Angre Isle. Three water taxi routes will also link city and offshore points with the Domestic Cruise Terminal.
