National adds ‘green’ car to rental fleet
Hybrid power vehicle, the Toyota Prius, has been introduced to the National Car Rental fleet.
The vehicles are exempt from the London Congestion Charge and will initially be made available to corporate customers in and around the capital.
The Prius can be driven certain distances using electric power only at the press of a button, producing zero emissions and less noise.
National’s fleet vice president Tim Bailey said: “We have already supplied a dedicated fleet of Prius to one of our corporate customers but this new deal means we can offer this exciting addition to the National fleet more widely, bringing our customers the ultimate level of choice and the latest in driving technology.
“Our strong relationship with Toyota means we can cater to the demands of customers who want a greener rental option or want to avoid congestion charges.”
