NCL appoints new Europe leader
Norwegian Cruise Line has appointed Michael Zengerle to head its newly combined UK and European operation.
Zengerle, who was previuosly general manager, Continental Europe, has been with the cruise line since 2002.
Norwegian’s executive vice president, global sales and passenger services Andy Stuart said: "Given the growing importance of our European business, the combination of our two offices in the UK and Germany into one organisation will help us to build on the opportunities offered by the European cruise markets.
"Michael has been instrumental in the strong growth we have seen in Continental Europe in recent years and he will bring his strong leadership to the new European-wide organisation."
The company will continue to operate its European business from its two offices based in London and Wiesbaden, added Stuart.
UK general manager Stephen Park left the company last month after it was announced that the UK and Continental European offices would be merged.
