There have been some gloomy reports recently of how reduced air service could adversely impact San Juan but information from the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) shows some increased flights next fall. For example:
- Delta plans four weekly roundtrips from JFK in New York to San Juan starting in September.
- Jet Blue will have twice-weekly roundtrips from Boston to San Juan starting in September.
- Air Tran will have two daily roundtrips from Atlanta to San Juan starting in December.
PRTC is also discussing addition flights between San Juan, Orlando, Miami and New York, according to tourism officials.
