New Caledonia Roadshows Offer Keys to New Peugeot!
New Caledonia Tourism will hit the road in style this August, launching a clever travel agent incentive scheme that offers a sporty new Peugeot 206 CC convertible valued at $39,366 as the prize.
The drop-top Peugeot marks the launch of a new Specialist Agent Program, designed to foster a better understanding of New Caledonia within the travel trade and allow online tracking of booking patterns among the destination’s most active agents.
Details will be announced at New Caledonia Roadshows scheduled for the Swissotel Sydney on August 8, Stamford Plaza Brisbane on August 9 and Surfer’s Paradise Marriott Resort on August 10.
New Caledonia Tourism’s Australian General Manager Diane Moynihan said every agent who attended the roadshows would be automatically entered into the competition, to be drawn in Sydney on February 26, 2007 and published in The Australian on March 2, 2007.
Any agent who joined the Specialist Agent Program would then receive a second entry, plus additional entries for each New Caledonia holiday booked by February 23, 2007.
“The Peugeot is our way of offering something truly exciting as an incentive to our industry supporters, while also enabling us to take a smarter approach to tracking growth through supporting agents,” Ms Moynihan said.
“The new program will allow us to capture details of bookings made by a specialist agent. We will be able to see where bookings are coming from, monitor hot spots, and respond to changes in demand.
“In return, we will direct all consumer queries to the specialist agency located closest to the enquirer’s postcode, as well as providing consumers with the latest specials offered by our wholesale partners.”
The new Specialist Agent Program follows other initiatives introduced by New Caledonia this year, including the launch of a dedicated website for Australian travellers, the appointment of an on-road sales representative to serve the travel trade, and an increased advertising budget with a new-look national television campaign.
Yet other initiatives to be launched at the upcoming roadshows include a new Rocket Guide interactive multi-media disc that offers virtual tours, videos, photographs and travel information on New Caledonia.
New Caledonia Tourism’s partners at the roadshows include Province Nord, Loyalty Islands, Le Meridien, Ramada, NC Hotel Group, Le Lagon, Arcencial, Alpha and Mary D Cruises. To attend, register on-line at www.newcaledonia.com.au or for more information contact New Caledonia Tourism on 1800 673 745.
