New categories added to Shine Awards

Nominations have opened for the fifth annual Shine Awards for Female Talent in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality’.
 
People 1st has pledged its support by co-sponsoring the awards for the next three years.
 
This comes together with the launch of Women 1st, a People 1st initiative aimed at supporting the development and retention of women in the sector.
 
A new initiative will see the winners of previous Shine Awards will act as mentors for young professionals graduating from the London Metropolitan University.
 
The ten Shine Awards categories reflect the changes being experienced in the working environment.
 
The additions include Shine Homeworker of the Year; Shine Woman Technology Innovator of the Year; Shine Woman of the Year for Sustainable Tourism and Shine Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Nominations close on January 3 with judging taking place on January 12. The awards ceremony is to take place on January 21.
