A D-I-Y ski website has been developed allowing users to build their own winter holidays using low cost carriers, transfers and accommodation.
SkiingHolidays.com has launched as a bonded tour operator providing a choice of ATOL-protected ski holidays.
The company offers the ability for users to dynamically build their own holiday and compares the results to traditional package holidays.
The results of both are displayed alongside each other on the site, providing greater holiday flexibility and price transparency, according to the company.
The firm claims to be the only ski site to provide ATOL financial protection on skiing holidays built using low cost flights.
Director Tim Anderson said: “After an estimated 20% fall in the number of skiers hitting the slopes last season we are forecasting a positive, though cautious, return to the coming season.
“SkiingHolidays.com is well positioned to take advantage of this calculated approach of skiers to building their ski holidays.
“We access traditional tour operators, low cost flights, commercial and charter carriers, car hire, private transfers and accommodation in one easy step without users realising it’s even being done.
“The beauty of it is that it gives consumers the cheapest prices available and offers no bias toward a particular operator or method of constructing your holiday. If a pre-packaged holiday is cheaper you’ll see it, if it’s more expensive then you’ll see that too.”
