New head for UKinbound
UKinbound has appointed a new chief executive.
Former CBI regional director Mary Rance will replace incumbent Stephen Dowd on September 15.
Rance has held key positions in business and charities and is considered a strong strategist with experience as an operational manager and lobbyist in the private and voluntary sectors. Her current role is chief executive at charity Toc H.
UKinbound chairman Philip Green said: “The recruitment panel met some very talented candidates and we believe Mary has the qualities we are looking for at this time. She brings with her excellent all round experience in lobbying, networking and membership management. We are sure Mary is the right person to lead the association.â€
Rance added: “I am delighted to be joining UKinbound at this significant and challenging time for inbound tourism. With the growing economic, environmental and regulatory pressures faced by the industry, I will strive to ensure that the agenda and profile of UKinbound remain at the forefront of Government thinking.â€
