New head of trade sales for Lowcost Travel

Saturday, 28 Jun, 2010 0

Lowcost Travel Group has appointed Ann-Maria Stacey as head of trade sales.

She joins from Intercontinental Hotel Group where she was director of sales.

Previous roles include sales manager Virgin Holidays, corporate sales manager for Silverjet and sales development manager for Holiday Autos.

Ann-Maria joins a sales team of six where her role will be to head up UK sales for Resorthoppa and lowcostbeds.

Tim Buckman, managing director of Resorthoppa and group sales director said hers was essentially a new role.

“I continue to have a watching brief over trade sales. However, what with running Resorthoppa, which has grown this year by 35%, and trying to expand our European business and lowcosttravelextras.com, we need to bring in a head of sales to continue to focus on our trade business, which is currently 140% up year on year and responsible for over 50% of the groups revenue.

“Ann-Maria will be a real asset and further strengthen our management team as we look to expand our trade business in to the longhaul market and continue our pan European roll out.”
