New hotel and conference center coming to Lake of the Ozarks
The Lake of the Ozarks is by next year will get a year-round destination resort at the Old Kinderhook golf resort.
The development, to be called The Lodge at Old Kinderhook, will include an 84-room lodge, a lobby lounge and bar, indoor and outdoor pools, an ice rink, a 250-person conference center and recreation, fitness, spa and marina facilities.
Developers hope to have it open next year.
There is also a plan to bring a new waterfront hotel and entertainment complex, Towne Harbour, to nearby Osage Beach.
The Lake of the Ozarks Golf Trail, including 13 golf courses carved into rolling hills around a 92-mile-long lake in Missouri’s midsection, is a popular vacation spot and a favorite of golfers.
Located about three hours southeast of Kansas City, the lake has about 1,300 miles of shoreline.
