New hotel and flight searches added to website
“Warts and all” reviews of hotels have been added as part of an upgrade of the thisistravel.co.uk website.
The Associated New Media travel site now claims to offer thousands of “independent and honest” hotel reviews including an average visitor rating for each property.
The hotel search includes 50,000 hotels ranked in order of popularity and is offering a booking facility and availability checks in conjunction with All Hotels, Octopus Travel, Alpha Rooms and Intercontinental.
A new flight search facility offers real-time availability and price checking for flights across lastminute.com, ebookers, Travelbag and British Airways. Users are passed them directly into one of the partner’s booking process.
ANM executive editor Nigel Vincent said: “Our new hotel and flights search puts the user in charge. It gives them real world recommendations, warts and all, independent reviews and destination guides plus the best deals around.”
Alex Saint, publisher of thisistravel.co.uk, added: “Following our research, we felt that it was essential to offer an increasingly sophisticated search that delivers far more information for less effort. Online travel is very competitive but we have taken the lead in delivering our consumers the most independent view of the market, enabling them to make the right holiday choices and be confident that they are getting a great deal.”
