New hotel director at Orbitz
Orbitz WorldWide has appointed John Ryan as director of its hotel supplier relations team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
His role will be to further support ebookers’ commitment to building out its hotel business for consumers and suppliers alike, ensuring the company continues to build out its direct hotel relationships in the region.
Ryan previously worked in a similar capacity for Opodo and has held several senior international sales and marketing roles for Le Meridien, Concorde and Radisson Hotels in Europe.
“John’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Orbitz Worldwide when our hotel market management team focuses on expansion of our direct relationships with accommodation providers across the European, Middle East and African regions,†said Peggy Bianco, group vice president, Global Hotel Services, Orbitz Worldwide.
“We’re increasing our presence in these important regions to ensure that we have closer working relationships with our hotel partners and are in a position to provide customers with improved access to inventory when they book lodging on ebookers.com.â€
