New ibis opens at Heathrow T5
A new ibis budget hotel has opened at Heathrow and will remain open during lockdown for key workers and essential travel only.
The 297-room property was previously a Travelodge.
Located a bus ride away from T5, the hotel is about 15-minutes from central London on the Heathrow Express and a short drive from local attractions such as LEGOLAND, Thorpe Park and Windsor.
Mark Dempsie, a director at hotel management company RBH, said: "We’re pleased to have worked alongside Accor to reopen the doors of the hotel as part of the global ibis budget brand family.
"This is the first phase of a wider project for RBH which will see the former Travelodge transformed over the coming months, and our partnership with Accor has enabled us to upgrade the first part of the hotel to a very high standard. Our team is ready to provide much-needed accommodation to key workers for the moment and, as travel returns and international borders reopen, we look forward to welcoming national and international guests."
